The Kentucky Magistrates & Commissioners Association (KMCA) selected Clay County Schools as the recipient of its 2025 KMCA Children’s Shoe Drive.

October 22, 2025, more than 800 pairs of brand-new shoes were delivered to Big Creek Elementary and will be distributed to students across the district. Now in its 11th year, the KMCA Shoe Drive has provided over 7,000 pairs of shoes to Kentucky schoolchildren through the personal donations of magistrates and commissioners from across the Commonwealth.
Clay County was chosen based on community engagement, economic need, and active participation within the association. This generous initiative reflects the best of Kentucky’s local leadership — neighbors helping neighbors — and will make a lasting difference for hundreds of students.
